Part 1 of 2: Executive Jacket for B&N nook touch (M-Edge)

The Executive Jacket™ for B&N nook touch by M-Edge, reviewed in the purple (also available in black) microfiber leather, repeats the great lines and quality of its predecessors for the other nooks, e-readers and tablets. This type of jacket is specific to the device for which it is manufactured as the holder is a hard plastic rather than a plate with elastic loops.

The Jacket holds the nook touch e-reader with a form-fitting base on the right side of the unit. On the left side of the unit, when open, are pockets for a business card and small sheets.

There is a slot for M-Edge’s e-Luminator booklight under the device holder. The newer “touch” e-Luminator is on its way for review and my final thoughts about the Executive Jacket will be based on the fit for that. The older e-Luminator doesn’t fit as well in the Executive Jacket™ for the nook touch. Without any booklight unit, the Jacket closes firmly and the spine is square.

With the older e-Luminator, there’s just a bit too much booklight and the Jacket doesn’t close as squarely.

In any case, M-Edge has provided a screen cloth which is held temporarily by the elastic loop intended for the booklight “head” when it is not in use.

Installing the nook into the Jacket is easy, particularly when you follow the included illustrated instructions. You click the bottom of the e-reader first and then press the upper corners to secure. It took a couple of tries before the nook touch was fully clicked into position.
